John is very popular with all customers. He is the face of our retail shop. In 2009 John will celebrating 50 years in the butchery trade. He started in the trade at the tender age of 14 in London, delivering meat on a butchers bike.

He managed his first shop at 19 years old. He managed a shop in London for a high class butchers for over 20 years.

In 1990 John moved to Basingstoke and decided to open up John Burton Foodmarket. John is always willing to pass on all his experience when new customers have questions or advice about produce.

  Frank Burton

Frank has over 40 years experience in the meat industry. Like John he started at a very early age in London delivering meat on a butchers bike. Frank worked his way up to be a senior manager for a multi national company.

Frank joined John Burton Foodmarket in the early stages and has helped the business grow from strength to strength. Frank has been responsible for promoting the company in recent years and was a finalist in Basingstoke Business person of the year awards.

 He is very well known in the local area having managed shops in Basingstoke on his way up the management ladder. 

  Mark Burton

Mark joined the business straight from school in 1992. After serving his apprenticeship he was then put in charge of developing the catering side of the business. He has been very successful and was a finalist of the Basingstoke young business person of the year awards.

He is a very popular person with all customers and he is known for his drive and energy. He currently looks after a huge portfolio of catering customers and is a vital asset of the day to day running of the business.
